Create a publishable key
Register your app in the BTX desktop app and copy its publishable client key.
Before you start
Sign in to the BTX desktop app and select your project. Have your app's iOS bundle ID or Android application ID ready.
For Flutter, create a separate client for each iOS and Android target. Each client has its own publishable key.
Create the key
- 01
Open project settings
Click your profile picture at the bottom of the desktop sidebar and select Settings.
Under Account and project, select Project settings.
- 02
Add a client
In Client SDKs, click Add client.
If you are already on the Client SDKs page, click New client instead.
- 03
Choose a name and platform
Enter a Name, such as
Example iOS, and select iOS or Android under Platform.Click Create client. You cannot change the platform later.
- 04
Enter your app identifier
In the Client section, enter the identifier that matches your app:
iOS: Enter the bundle identifier in Bundle ID.
Android: Enter the application ID in Package name.
Changes save automatically. Leave the field and wait for Client created.
- 05
Copy the publishable key
In Publishable key, click Copy.
If you see Creating key..., wait for the client to finish saving. Resolve any save error before continuing.
Use your key
Set publishableClientKey in your iOS SDK configuration or Flutter SDK configuration.
For Flutter apps with multiple platforms or app variants, use platform-specific key mappings with a client for each app identifier.
Publishable keys are designed for customer apps. Never put server credentials in your app bundle.
